TREATS AND BEATS (5/7/26)

Our Spring Event, Treats and Beats, will be held on Thursday, May 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 in the PNHS Cafeteria.  We are looking for volunteers to help the evening of the event.  Below are links to sign up for the night of the event and to provide treats for the bake sale.  In addition, there is a link to an Amazon wish list should you wish to donate any items for the raffle baskets for the event.  We appreciate any and all help you are able to provide.  Thank you!!

GRADUATION (5/16/26)

It is time to celebrate our graduates! Participation is mandatory and graded for all current 9th–11th grade band students.

Note: The 9th Grade Percussion Class is exempt from this event due to equipment and part limitations.

Schedule of Events

Friday, May 15

  • 2:20 PM – 3:00 PM: Graduation Rehearsal (Band Room)

Saturday, May 16

  • 9:00 AM: Percussion Meeting (Outside Band Room)

  • 9:15 AM: Full Band Call Time (Stadium)

  • 10:00 AM: Graduation Ceremony Begins

  • 12:00 PM: Estimated Pickup (Tennis Courts)

  • Percussionists: Meet outside the band room at 9:00 AM to transport instruments to the stadium.

  • Important: There will be no access to the band room on Saturday morning. Ensure you have your instrument and music with you.

Attire & Logistics

  • Dress Code: Business Casual. Please wear a collared shirt or blouse, slacks (with a belt), or an appropriate-length skirt. Complete the look with dress socks and dress shoes. In short: Look your best!

  • Materials: Music must be in a 3-ring binder with sheet protectors.

  • Personal Comfort: Bring water, wear sunscreen, and feel free to use sunglasses.

  • Parking & Drop-off: * Students: Park by the band room and walk to the stadium.

    • Parents: Drop-off is at the stadium. For pickup, please meet at the tennis courts to avoid post-ceremony traffic.

Weather Plan

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony may be delayed or moved indoors. Keep an eye on your email/messages on graduation morning for real-time updates.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE (5/25/26)

9:30am- Park/Drop-Off/Walk to IJMS

9:45am-Meet at Richard Ira Jones Middle School-Assemble and Warm up

10:30am-Block up and March to Settler’s Park in Parade

11:00am-Ceremony Begins-Perform America the Beautiful towards the end

12:00pm-Dismissal (Might be closer to 11:45am)

PERFORMANCE WEAR: Shirt: Member shirt; Shorts: Solid black, khaki, or blue jean shorts. Must be plain with no patterns, logos, or other colors. Shoes: Gym shoes that are comfortable and supportive for marching. Additional Notes: Shirts must be tucked into shorts for uniformity. Sunglasses are allowed, but no hats.

  • Take your instrument home on Friday after rehearsal.  All students will take their instrument with them. This includes big instruments and percussion. 

  • PARKING will be tricky.  You will not be able to park at Ira Jones.  You will have to find some place around that area, or by Settler’s Park and walk to Ira Jones.

  • If you are being dropped off, make the drop off point by the Avery YMCA. Pickup at Settler’s Park.

  • There will be NO storage for cases and belongings.  Leave these things in the car or at home.

  • Wear sunscreen! We will have water provided.

  • In case of bad weather, information will be sent out on REMIND

FAMILY AND FRIENDS - Please attend the event. Bring a lawn chair and set it up at Settler’s Park. Enjoy performances from Central and East, as well.
