OFFICIAL RULES FOR PLAINFIELD NORTH HIGH SCHOOL BAND BOOSTERS “BANDO!” RAFFLE
1. SPONSOR AND PURPOSE
Sponsor: Plainfield North High School Band Boosters, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located at PO Box 531, Plainfield, IL, 60544.
Purpose of Raffle: The entire net proceeds of the raffle will be exclusively devoted to the lawful purposes of the Plainfield North High School Band Boosters, a not-for-profit organization.
2. ELIGIBILITY
Age: Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a ticket.
Employees and Board Members: No officers, directors, or employees of the Plainfield North High School Band Boosters, involved in the management or operation of the raffle, are eligible to win prizes.
Location: Tickets may only be sold within the state of Illinois.
3. TICKET INFORMATION
Ticket Price: Tickets are a $20 donation per ticket.
Ticket Purchase Dates: Tickets can be purchased from September 30, 2025 through October 16, 2025. The organization reserves the right to suspend or terminate ticket sales at any time.
Ticket Purchase Options: Tickets may be purchased, in person, from an authorized member of the band.
Maximum Tickets: A maximum of 1500 tickets will be sold.
Ticket Requirement: Each ticket must include the name, email address, and phone number of the purchaser. If more than one name is on a ticket, the first name listed will be considered the official entrant.
Ticket Sales: All ticket sales are final, and no refunds will be issued, unless the raffle is cancelled due to a failure to meet the minimum ticket sales threshold.
4. PRIZE STRUCTURE AND CONDITIONS
The following prizes will be awarded based on the total number of tickets sold:
Level 1: Minimum Tickets Sold (500-749): if 500 or more tickets are sold, the raffle will be for a Grand Prize of $2500, a Second Prize of $1250 and a Third Prize of $500
Level 2: Target Tickets Sold (750-999): if 750 or more tickets are sold, the raffle will be for a Grand Prize of $3750, a Second Prize of $1875 and a Third Prize of $750.
Level 3: Goal Tickets Sold (1000+): If 1000 or more tickets are sold, the raffle will be for a Grand Prize of $5000, a Second Prize of $2500 and a Third Prize of $1000.
5. DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION
Drawing Date and Time: The drawing will be held at approximately 8:30pm on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025 (pending suitable weather and rescheduling of a rain date for the Community Night event).
Drawing Location: The drawing will take place in the PNHS football stadium, after the PNHS Marching Band ‘Community Night’ performance.
Winner Determination: The winner will be determined by a random drawing from all eligible tickets.
Need Not Be Present to Win: The winner does not need to be present at the drawing to win.
Winner Notification: The winner will be notified within two days by phone or email using the contact information provided on the winning ticket.
Winning Ticket Information: Winning ticket numbers will be posted on the sponsors website at pnhsbands.org/bando-winning-tickets
Unclaimed Prizes: If the prize is not claimed within five days of notification, the Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, award the prize to an alternate winner or retain the prize for charitable purposes.
6. CANCELLED RAFFLE
Cancellation Threshold: This raffle is contingent upon the sale of a minimum of 500 tickets by the close of ticket sales on October 16, 2025.
Refunds: If the minimum number of tickets is not sold by this date, the raffle will be cancelled. In the event of a cancellation, all ticket purchasers will receive a full refund of their ticket price within 10 business days. No prize will be awarded if the minimum ticket threshold is not met.
7. GENERAL CONDITIONS
Official Rules: By entering the raffle, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by all decisions of the Plainfield North High School Band Boosters which shall be final and binding.
Errors: The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected entries, or for any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries.
Publicity: By participating, winners agree to have their name, likeness, and voice used for promotional purposes without further compensation.
Limitation of Liability: By participating in the raffle, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Plainfield North High School Band Boosters, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the raffle or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the raffle; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) errors in the administration of the raffle or the processing of entries; or (e) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the raffle or receipt or use of any prize.
Taxes: Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes. Prizes valued over $600 may require the winner to complete an IRS Form W-9.
Void Where Prohibited: This raffle is void where prohibited by law.
