Savers FUNdrive

It’s time to clean out your closets to raise money for the Plainfield North Bands! This is the one and only fundraiser that costs exactly $0!

Monday, August 4th through Saturday, August 8th, the PNHS Band Boosters will be accepting donations of gently used clothing and accessories, household textiles (blankets, sheets, towels, curtains), small household goods (pots, pans, glasses, décor, small kitchen appliances, toys, games, etc.), and books media.

Savers thrift shop in Naperville pays the PNHS Band Boosters for these donated items.

Our goal is $5,000! This is an aggressive goal. To get there, we need to collect approximately 1,924 tall kitchen bags of soft goods and 375 boxes of household goods. That’s about 16 bags and 3 boxes per student!

Here’s how you can help:

  • Go through your closets to look for donations! Textiles go in tall kitchen bags and household goods go in boxes. Most families can collect three bags and one box right from their own closets.

  • Ask friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to prepare their donations. Use the attached flier as a reminder.

  • Share the donation link on social media. Have the whole family help and ask friends and family to spread the word.

  • Post the link on your neighborhood Facebook page, community Facebook pages, or anywhere you might find individuals who are willing to help!

  • Print 20 copies of the flier and get 20 tall kitchen bags. Wrap each bag in a flier and hand them to neighbors. Offer to pick up the bags on a given date or ask neighbors to deliver the items at the school on the donation dates listed on the flier.

  • Pass the flier out at garage sales and ask sellers to consider donating the leftover goods on the donation dates.

THIS IS THE EASIEST MONEY WE WILL EARN ALL YEAR! SPREAD THE WORD!
