OFFICIAL RULES FOR PNHS BANDS “BANDO!” RAFFLE

1. SPONSOR:

This raffle is sponsored by the Plainfield North High School Band Boosters, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located at PO Box 531, Plainfield, IL, 60544 ("Sponsor").

2. RAFFLE PERIOD:

The raffle begins on September 30th, 2025 at 8:00AM and ends on October 23, 2025 at 10:00PM (the "Raffle Period"). All times are Central Time (CT).

3. ELIGIBILITY:

The raffle is open to all legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of ticket purchase. Employees, board members, and immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of the PNHS Band Boosters are not eligible to purchase tickets or win prizes. Void where prohibited by law.

4. PRIZES:

A total of three (3) prizes will be awarded. The specific prizes are as follows:

  • Grand Prize: $5000 Cash

  • Second Prize: $2500 Cash

  • Third Prize: $1000 Cash

Prizes are non-transferable and no cash equivalent or substitution of prizes is permitted, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, and any other fees or costs associated with the prize.

5. HOW TO ENTER:

Raffle tickets may be purchased for $20 each. Tickets can be purchased in the following ways:

  • In Person: Tickets may be purchased at designated locations during scheduled events.

No more than 1500 tickets will be sold. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

6. DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION:

The drawing will take place on October 23, 2025 during the PNHS Band Community Night at approximately 8:30PM at the PNHS football stadium (pending suitable weather and rescheduling of a rain date for the Community Night event). Winners will be selected by a random drawing from all eligible entries received. Presence is not required to win.

Winners will be notified by phone and email within two business days of the drawing. If a winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within five business days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and releases as required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

7. ODDS OF WINNING:

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible tickets sold.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS:

By participating in the raffle, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the raffle.

All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

By accepting a prize, winners grant the Sponsor permission to use their name, likeness, and photograph for promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the raffle if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the raffle, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, the Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes in a random drawing from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment.

The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected entries, or for any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries.

Winners may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and (where legal) a Publicity Release within five days of notification. Failure to do so may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner.

9. RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:

By participating in the raffle, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the PNHS Band Boosters, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the raffle or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the raffle; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) errors in the administration of the raffle or the processing of entries; or (e) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the raffle or receipt or use of any prize.

10. DISPUTES:

Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this raffle or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Will County, Illinois. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the raffle, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Illinois, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Illinois or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Illinois.

11. WINNERS LIST:

To obtain a list of winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: PNHS Band Boosters, Attn: BANDO! Raffle Winners List, PO Box 531, Plainfield, IL, 60544 after October 28, 2025. Requests must be received by November 23, 2025.

12. ILLINOIS RAFFLE AND PULL TAB CHARITY ACT COMPLIANCE:

This raffle is conducted in accordance with the Illinois Raffle and Pull Tab Charity Act (230 ILCS 15/ et seq.). Plainfield North High School Band Boosters holds a valid raffle license issued by the Will County Executive Office under License Number: [License Number].
