OFFICIAL RULES FOR PLAINFIELD NORTH HIGH SCHOOL BAND BOOSTERS “BANDO!” RAFFLE

1. SPONSOR AND PURPOSE

Sponsor: Plainfield North High School Band Boosters, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located at PO Box 531, Plainfield, IL, 60544.

Purpose of Raffle: The entire net proceeds of the raffle will be exclusively devoted to the lawful purposes of the Plainfield North High School Band Boosters, a not-for-profit organization.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Age: Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a raffle chance.

Employees and Board Members: No officers, directors, or employees of the Plainfield North High School Band Boosters, involved in the management or operation of the raffle, are eligible to win prizes.

Location: Raffle chances may be purchased only by eligible persons located within the State of Illinois at the time of purchase. The Sponsor may use reasonable measures to restrict or reject purchases that do not comply with this requirement.

3. RAFFLE CHANCE AND TICKET INFORMATION

Ticket Price: Raffle chances are available for $20 each.

Ticket Purchase Dates: Raffle chances may be purchased from 12:00 a.m. Central Time on September 22, 2026, through 8:00 p.m. Central Time on October 15, 2026, unless ticket sales are suspended or terminated earlier by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.

Ticket Purchase Method: Raffle chances may be purchased online through the Sponsor’s designated Givebutter campaign page. No purchases submitted after the close of ticket sales will be accepted.

Electronic Entry Record: Upon successful completion of an online purchase, the purchaser will receive an electronic purchase confirmation. Givebutter will assign each raffle chance a unique sequential ticket number, beginning with ticket number 001. The Sponsor’s official electronic raffle records, including applicable Givebutter transaction records and assigned ticket numbers, will serve as the official record of each raffle chance and its associated entrant. A raffle chance is not valid unless the associated payment has been successfully completed and received by the Sponsor or its authorized payment processor before the close of ticket sales.

Purchaser Information: A valid telephone number is required for each raffle purchase. The purchaser is responsible for providing accurate and current contact information. If a purchaser provides additional information through the online platform, the Sponsor may use that information only as necessary to administer the raffle, notify winners, issue prizes, comply with legal or tax obligations, and communicate as otherwise permitted by law and the platform’s applicable terms and privacy practices.

Official Entrant: Only one eligible individual may be designated as the entrant associated with each raffle chance. The person identified as the purchaser in the Sponsor’s official transaction record will be deemed the official entrant and potential prize recipient for every raffle chance included in that purchase.

Maximum Raffle Chances: A maximum of 1,500 raffle chances will be sold.

Raffle-Chance Sales Final: All raffle-chance sales are final and nonrefundable, except if the raffle is cancelled under Section 6 or as otherwise required by applicable law.

Eligibility and Location Restriction: By purchasing a raffle chance, the purchaser represents that they are at least 18 years old and that the purchase is made in Illinois, in compliance with these Official Rules and applicable law.

4. PRIZE STRUCTURE AND CONDITIONS

The prizes awarded will be determined by the total number of eligible raffle chances sold by the close of ticket sales.

Level 1 — Fewer Than 500 Raffle Chances Sold: If fewer than 500 raffle chances are sold, no prize will be awarded and the raffle will be cancelled in accordance with Section 6.

Level 2 — 500–749 Raffle Chances Sold: If 500 through 749 raffle chances are sold, the prizes will be a Grand Prize of $2,500, a Second Prize of $1,250, and a Third Prize of $500.

Level 3 — 750–999 Raffle Chances Sold: If 750 through 999 raffle chances are sold, the prizes will be a Grand Prize of $3,750, a Second Prize of $1,875, and a Third Prize of $750.

Level 4 — 1,000 or More Raffle Chances Sold: If 1,000 or more raffle chances are sold, the prizes will be a Grand Prize of $5,000, a Second Prize of $2,500, and a Third Prize of $1,000.

The maximum number of raffle chances available for sale is 1,500.

5. DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION

Drawing Date, Time, and Location: The drawing will be held at approximately 8:30 p.m. Central Time on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the PNHS football stadium, following the PNHS Marching Band Community Night performance. If Community Night is postponed, cancelled, or relocated because of weather or other circumstances, the drawing may be conducted at the rescheduled Community Night event or at another date, time, or location selected by the Sponsor, subject to applicable law and any required approval. Notice of any change will be posted on the Sponsor’s website and/or official social media channels.

Winner Determination: Winners will be determined by a random ball-drop drawing using numbered balls corresponding only to eligible Givebutter ticket numbers assigned to completed, valid raffle-chance purchases. The ball-drop game will select the winning ticket number for the Grand Prize, the winning ticket number for the Second Prize, and the winning ticket number for the Third Prize. Each winning ball number will correspond to the matching Givebutter ticket number. Each numbered ball will be included only once in the ball-drop drawing and may win only one prize. A single entrant may win more than one prize if more than one raffle chance associated with that entrant is selected as a winning ticket number.

Need Not Be Present to Win: Winners need not be present at the drawing to win.

Winner Notification: The Sponsor will attempt to notify each winner within two days after the drawing using the telephone number provided in the official purchase record. If additional contact information was voluntarily provided through the online purchasing platform, the Sponsor may also use that information to contact the winner.

Winning Ticket Information: The winning Givebutter ticket number(s) will be posted on the Sponsor’s website at https://pnhsbands.org/bando-winning-tickets. The Sponsor will not post winners’ telephone numbers or other personal contact information.

Unclaimed Prizes: If a prize is not claimed within five days of notification, the Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, award the prize to an alternate winner or retain the prize for charitable purposes.

6. CANCELLED RAFFLE

Cancellation Threshold: This raffle is contingent upon the sale of at least 500 eligible raffle chances by 8:00 p.m. Central Time on October 15, 2026.

Refunds: If fewer than 500 eligible raffle chances are sold by the stated deadline, the raffle will be cancelled. In the event of cancellation, the Sponsor will refund the amount paid for each raffle chance within 10 business days, using the original payment method when practicable. No prize will be awarded if the minimum raffle-chance threshold is not met.

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS

Official Rules: By entering the raffle, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by all decisions of the Plainfield North High School Band Boosters which shall be final and binding.

Errors: The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected entries, or for any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries.

Publicity: By participating, winners agree to have their name, likeness, and voice used for promotional purposes without further compensation.

Givebutter Platform: The Sponsor uses Givebutter as a third-party online fundraising and payment platform to facilitate raffle-chance purchases. Givebutter is not the sponsor or promoter of the raffle. The Sponsor is solely responsible for the raffle’s administration, including compliance with applicable law, the official entry records, the drawing, winner selection, and notification, prize fulfillment, and enforcement of these Official Rules.

Limitation of Liability: By participating in the raffle, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Plainfield North High School Band Boosters, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the raffle or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the raffle; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) errors in the administration of the raffle or the processing of entries; or (e) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the raffle or receipt or use of any prize.

Taxes: Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes and any other costs associated with accepting or using a prize. Winners may be required to provide a completed IRS Form W-9 or other documentation before a prize is awarded, and the Sponsor may report prize information to tax authorities as required by law.

Void Where Prohibited: This raffle is void where prohibited by law.
