News and Notes 8/11/25
MARCHING BAND THIS WEEK
We are back to Tuesdays and Thursdays THIS WEEK. Thursday will end around 8:30pm to help students adjust to the school schedule.
Saturday, students will rotate between the Car Wash and Rehearsal. We will start at 8:30am to make this work and be done by 4:30pm.
Please look ahead to the following as we are Tuesday and Wednesday due to Curriculum Night on Thursday.
CHANGES TO THE MARCHING BAND CALENDAR:
SEPTEMBER 2nd REHEARSAL has been moved to SEPTEMBER 3rd due to conflicts of space and facilities at PNHS.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
We have arrived to the beginning of the school year. Students WILL NOT need instruments the first day. We will assign lockers and get students situated with the schedule. Instruments will be needed in class on Friday.
CAR WASH
Our annual Car Wash is coming up on Saturday, August 16th, from 9am-1pm.
Band Members will rotate between the Car Wash and Rehearsal.

AUGUST BAND BOOSTER MEETING
PARENTS: Join us on Wednesday, August 13th, at 7pm for the monthly meeting in the Band Room. Enter through Door P.
Our booster organization exists to support and enrich the school's band program by providing financial assistance, volunteer support, and advocating for the band. They help bridge the gap between what the school budget provides and the needs of the band, ensuring students have access to resources, opportunities, and a positive experience.
ATTENDANCE
Students are now expected to be at all rehearsals. If a student is missing a full band rehearsal or performance for an excused absence, parents/guardians should complete the Absence Report Form at this link. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ABOUT ABSENCES UNLESS YOU HAVE A QUESTION. Thank you!!
COLORGUARD AND PERCUSSION - Do not fill out this form for SECTIONALS. Please contact your staff heads for absences or issues.
MARCHING BAND PAYMENTS

Payment for fees can be done by:
Online payment via Cut Time with a Credit Card. This method does include a 3% service fee. Links have been sent regarding this.
Pay by check or cash and deposited in the red box in Mr. Hatcher’s office (this is the easiest) or send via mail. Please make checks payable to PNHS Band Boosters and write the student’s name on the memo line.
