MARCHING BAND - THIS WEEK

We rehearse with EVERYONE from now on. TUESDAY and THURSDAY 6-9pm

Things to bring for your SUCCESS:

  • Your instrument/equipment in working condition w/ all necessary accessories

    • Reeds/Ligatures

    • Neckstraps

    • Valve Oil

    • Other items your instrument may require

  • 1-inch binder and sheet protectors for music - at least 10 protectors

  • Half gallon or gallon insulated water jug w/ cold water – no sharing

    •  Label w/ your name to avoid losing

  • Insect repellent for evenings

  • Sunglasses for the low evening sun

  • Appropriate attire for the weather - t-shirt, sweatshirt for cool evenings

  • Athletic shorts – the lighter the better

  • Socks and solid tie shoes, firmly tied onto your feet.  No sandals or slip-on’s. Best shoes are running shoes or something with a flexible sole that will help you march correctly. Do not wear Crocs, sandals, skateboarding shoes, Converse, dress shoes, or other similar footwear.

  • Pencil with eraser.

JUNE PARENT BOOSTER MEETING

Join us on Wednesday, June 10th, for our monthly meeting that helps determine funding, volunteerism, and advocacy for our students. Enter through Door P.

WEBSITE HELP (PARENTS)

BAND PARENTS:  We’re looking for a volunteer to help administer our Google Workspace environment. Our current admin will be graduating out next year, so we’d like to have someone onboard this year for a smooth transition. If you have experience with Google Workspace administration and are interested in helping, please reach out to neil.witek@pnhsbands.org.

SENIORS (YES, THAT IS CLASS OF 2027!)

Pictures will take place the afternoon of July 14th before band rehearsal. Exact time & details to come soon. It is important for all Seniors to attend so we can get banners done in time for Senior Night. If there is a known conflict, please let Lisa Witek know ASAP via email: lisa.witek@pnhsbands.org

BAND UNIFORM FITTINGS

Uniform fittings will take place on July 28th, 29th & 30th. Sign Up Genius will be sent out soon. If you will be out of town those dates, please contact Lisa Witek via email to schedule a makeup fitting: lisa.witek@pnhsbands.org

SHOREWOOD CROSSROADS FEST VOLUNTEERS

The PNHS Band Boosters and the Plainfield Marching Arts Boosters (PMAB) are joining forces for the 2nd year on an EASY fundraising event. 

We're looking for volunteers to serve as parking lot attendants at the Shorewood Crossroads Festival on July 31st, August 1st & August 2nd. In exchange, PNHS Band Boosters & PMAB will each earn $1,000 (based on equal participation).

MUSIC TRIP 2026-2027

THE ENROLLMENT CAPACITY IS CURRENTLY FULL! We’ll be working to fit more people onto the trip depending on chaperone ratio and up to date payments, stay tuned.
